President’s Message

Welcome to the official, virtual home of the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!

As the first alumnae chapter in Georgia, we are proud of our intergenerational member body, and I am humbled by the privilege to serve as its 42nd President. Chartered in 1924, Atlanta Alumnae is home to over 400 dedicated, social activists and change agents who serve Atlanta and the world community in support of the initiatives of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and its programs:

• Economic Development
• Educational Development
• International Awareness and Involvement
• Physical and Mental Health
• Risk Management
• Emergency Response
• Social Action (Political Awareness and Involvement)

The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter is also a formidable cornerstone in the life of the community. We cherish our strategic partnerships with non-profit organizations, governmental and corporate entities. In this unprecedented season of a worldwide pandemic, we remain relevant by providing small businesses with virtual workshops to help them secure financial assistance while “weathering the storm”. We are trailblazers in the global fight against Female Genital Mutilation and work closely with the I Can Fly School in Kenya to provide the necessary funding.

We are making great strides in voter registration during the most important elections in our lifetimes. Our Delta Academies develop young people by honing life skills in a safe, nurturing environment, and we provide thousands of dollars in scholarship funding to high school students embarking upon college and university study. Additionally, we have fun across the generations! Sorors, families, and friends participate in the AAC DST Golf Academy which financially supports the Camp Best Friends Golf Academy in the Rosel Fann community, as well as other Membership Services programs.
