The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter promotes its vision by providing exemplary public service through implementing initiatives that parallel the sorority's Five-Point Program Thrust and Social Action focus.

Economic Development

Initiatives provided economic empowerment experiences for youth (Delta Academy and Delta GEMS) and seniors by partnering with community agencies. Exhibits and workshops helped community members learn how to make, maintain, and grow their money..  Economic Programs include Habitat for Humanity


Educational Development

 

Promote academic excellence and provide scholarships thru tools that will enable our girls to sharpen and enhance their skills to achieve high levels of academic success; To assist our girls in proper goal setting and planning for their futures – high school and beyond; and  To create compassionate, caring and community minded young women by actively involving them in service learning and community service opportunities… Educational Programs include Delta GEMS and Delta Academy

 

International Awareness & Involvement

Create awareness and promote active participation in addressing issues, affecting women and children around the world.  International Awareness programs include an Kwanzaa Events

Physical and Mental Health

Concerns about America's physical and mental health have not escaped Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Delta's work in prevention and "wellness" translates to health education programs, health fairs and provision of health care services. Delta also supports medical research that examines illnesses that victimize specific segments of the country's population. Physical and Mentor Health programs include Annual From the Heart Walk  and the Annual Health Fair  

Political Awareness & Involvement

Political Awareness and Involvement is charged to ensure a quality way of life for marginalized and undeserved people through the networking of our Five-Point Program Thrust that is woven together by social action. Political Awareness & Involvement programs Delta Days at the Nation’s Capital and Voter Rights
